Believe it or not, English is probably my favorite subject since I have been in Elementary School. I have always enjoyed writing on my own, i truly hate writing all of those task essays in which a topic of discussion is picked for you to wrtie about, but they have to grade you on something.
From what i have seen so far, i think i will like this class because it seems to fit my syle of writing more than my twelfth grade class, and my 101 class last semester here at wonderful nassau community college. I actually recieved a higher grade than i anticipated last semester. I thought i would be in the C- area but ended up getting a B+, so that was a nice suprise. I tend to write about sports the most because that is where my passion lies. I am an avid sports fan and have been playing hockey since i was three years old. Writing should show emotion, and in my case there is nothing that brings out more emotion in me than sports.
One of my dream jobs is to be a beat writer for the New York Islanders, so english might play a pretty big part in my life one day, thats ofcourse if i ever make it that far. I know im not the srtongest writer grammatically, but i think i can be good enough for a Newsday type paper as a sports writer some day as long as i brush up on the actual english content and grammer of my writing.

Future Looks Good
Yesterday was one of the toughest days ive ever had as a sports fan. My Jets lost in the AFC championship game to the Colts. When the game ended i couldnt even eat. Me and my dad are actually heading to Miami to go to the Super Bowl this year so that makes it even more painful knowing that we were one win away from seeing Gang Green in South Beach. After the pain of the loss started to little itself, i sat back and thought to myself "if someone would have told me before the season started that we would be one win away from the super bowl with a rookie quaterback, and a rookie coach i would be pretty happy" So after thinking that i can only look forward to what the future holds. Hopefully next season with a new stadium we get that one more win, with new heights.
